About Stephen Milton
Stephen Milton’s passion for architecture, design and building goes back to his early childhood. On a Grade 3 art project he drew a cross-section of the family home when all the others kids were drawing flowers and animals. He loved visiting building sites, too, and one day disappeared from home only to be later found playing in the sand on a nearby building site by one very relieved mother.
Stephen is a QUT honours graduate with over 20 years experience in architecture including eight years as a Senior Architect. He has worked on projects throughout Queensland, United States of America and the South Pacific.
Stephens’s style is hands-on: as Design Principal of a boutique consultancy he is passionately and personally involved in every project. He’s driven by the satisfaction of hearing a client say “well done”, whether it’s designing an automotive workshop for a mining client or completing a beautiful bespoke home for a retired couple.
He also has the designer’s gift of being able to bring a outsider’s eye to a project, a skill which has earned him a reputation for simplifying and solving difficult problems for clients in matters such as site planning and development applications.
"Steve provides a holistic and architectural design service for projects from house extensions to large commercial buildings. He is not only able to utilise his design experience but also is able to draw on his development management work for advice to his clients. Steve keeps up to date with new products and regulations in the construction industry." Scott Clements Director of Inertia Engineering
